Ok I’ll play the game Get a taste of a life that’s sane But I want to touch your skin Open up and let me in. ‘Cause that surface that I see Is just a movie of the way You think it has to be Oh, Say the words I want to hear Burn that script and Make it real ‘Cause I’m so tired of being strong Want more than to just get along Stakes so high You’ve got to roll the dice When a fortune’s paid In paradise Standing so close to you Set fire to my heart Your essence washes over me Sets me free And apart. Everyone wants your attention And they just give and give But for me it’s something different You are what I love and live And I’m so tired of being strong Want more than to just get along Stakes so high You’ve got to roll the dice When a fortune’s paid In paradise So tired of being strong Want more than to just get along Stakes so high You’ve got to roll the dice When a fortune’s paid In paradise Ooooh hooo hooo oh hoooo mHmmmm

I put my whole soul on display And you can’t find one thing to say Wrapped in your shroud of silence So loud can’t find one thing to say? I don’t need to belong I'm gonna sing my own song Dogs howl in a chorus in the night Compelled by their fear of being alone I won’t let that turn me to stone ‘Cause there’s a fire inside And it won’t be denied It’s the stuff from which we are all made And the brighter it burns Fueled by the lessons we’ve learned The more shadow cast on the fray My mind says “GIVE UP” But dreams they won’t stop Night visions are calling to me From the depths of my soul I know there’s no way to control The yearning we have to be free ‘Cause there’s a fire inside And it won’t be denied It’s the stuff from which we are all made And the brighter it burns Fueled by the lessons we’ve learned The more shadow cast on the fray Ooooh, cause there's a fire inside And it won't be denied It's the stuff from which we are all made And the brighter it burns Fueled by the lessons we've learned The more shadow cast on the fray, ohhhh The more shadow cast on the fray The more shadow cast on the fray

Green river roads Mountain abode of the gods The magic bus took us away We laughed ‘til it hurt Came home with Nothing to say So your loved one went back To the heavenly track And you’re feeling so low Fall into her arms Let go. ‘Cause you momma she tried But she could not hold you Just right We either fall away Or we’re held too tight Let her hold you just right INDIA India Holding At the end of the world In a sea wild and sweet We played by the shore Like children adored We dig in our pilgrim feet On that bustling beach Ecstasy parades and paparazzi The undertow took us And shook us IN THE FURY WE WERE HELD JUST RIGHT Though you momma she tried But she could not hold you Just right We either fall away Or we’re held too tight Let her hold you just right India 'Cause your momma she tried But she could not hold you Just right We either fall away Or we’re held too tight Let her hold you just right Let her hold you just right India India Holding India Holding INDIA

Victims of principle Squander chances at change Spoils of victory Now wealth rearranged Again and again Little by little Reality simmers Life rages and sizzles How to keep moving In the dizzying rain? Saviors of purity The menu’s fast food Nourishing enemies Tell me where is the good? Again and again Little by little Reality simmers Life rages and sizzles How to keep moving In the dizzying rain? The dizzying rain Good deeds get punished There’s no rainbow arc of justice Just stories lost and found and Glimpses of greatness When love comes around Good deeds get punished There’s no rainbow arc of justice Just stories lost and found and Glimpses of greatness When love comes around Again and again Little by little Reality simmers Life rages and sizzles How to keep moving In the dizzying rain? The dizzying rain Again and again And little by little Reality simmers Life rages and sizzles How to keep moving How to keep moving How to keep moving In the dizzying rain?

In My Dreams 04:44
In my dreams I’m always So ugly And so dull In my dreams I hate you. In my dreams There you stood As usual up to no good You loved me so Then let me go you killed me. You took me out And washed me down Your angel poised above me Showed me no mercy She cut my, my wings In my dreams My dreams I said, it’s a powerful recoil Gather ‘round And share in the spoils Annihilate a heart so pure Babe you shoved me through that door I said, it’s a powerful recoil Gather ‘round And share in the spoils Annihilate a heart so pure Sweetness scattered in a pile Pure intention defiled. In my dreams You’re always so ugly And so dull In my dreams I hate you. In my dreams In my dreams

La Paz 05:09
Somewhere between the layers of the world Nowhere’s home No one can find me Least of all me Fires that burn my heart Making room for the pain Stoked again, where’s the rain? I need to find some that stillness, comfort Mother can you lead me to its door Cross the fields of grass grown Tall and limber in the breeze To the old brick wall Passed battlefields of fallen soldiers Crying out for to me Can I just see home once more Can you lead me Can you lead me To that door So much celebration Life’s a gift Divine creation But I can’t always get out of the dark Endless speculation When will I learn just to be? JUST BREATHE Breathing in the sacred sounds Revelations so profound They bring me to my knees Oh when I I lose myself in the field of water Heart ignites Burns the borders That once defined me Oh when I bow before the primal power WASH ME DOWN AND START ALL OVER Dissolve in the rain of La Paz Oh You took me past Battlefields of fallen soldiers Cryin' out Cryin' out For home OH La la la, la la la la la la la, la la la la

Under shade trees On this late summer day I feel like I’m fading away Letting go of the grip of youth At ease just livin’ my truth I’m trying to keep my love of green alive Gets hard with many stings from the hive Makes it hard for open heart to survive Summer green deepens to shades of jade May I grow more full of grace As the lines they grow on my face They’re just signs of a life fully embraced Dawning light Shimmering Shades of Jade Once adorned in darkness and light Muse to stars on parade and moonlight Now’s the time in my life to invite Coming dawn Lighter Shades of Jade May I grow more full of grace As the lines they grow on my face They’re just signs of a life fully embraced Dawning light Shimmering Shades of Jade May I grow more full of grace As the lines they grow on my face They’re just signs of a life fully embraced Dawning light Shimmering Shades of Jade Like night to dawn Darkness to the light Summer green deepens To Shades of Jade To Shades of Jade To Shades of Jade

Battle of the minds Cries above Cries below You must pick a side Will you choose fear? Will you choose love? What does it feel like? This orbital ball On the fringes of the milky way What does it look like? This orbital ball On the fringes of the Milky Way Raining flavor I'm spreading flavor Flavor of love Whose god then is god? They all want jurisdiction In the book of Earth Whose god spread fear? Whose god spread love? What does it feel like? This orbital ball On the fringes of the milky way What does it look like? This orbital ball On the fringes of the Milky Way Raining flavor Spread that flavor Turn up the frequency! What does it feel like? This orbital ball On the fringes of the milky way What does it look like? This orbital ball On the fringes of the Milky Way Raining flavor Spread that flavor I've seen flavor Flavor Flavor of love, love, love

Your Quest 03:57
I see women in the water Rise up and ask me “dear daughter” Fill with light come to life Float to me, eyes speak Asking to be set free Sisters rise up and ask I am up to the task My daughter holds watch and keeps space Oh rise up and ask All your suffering in the past Be now laid to rest I’ll carry on your quest In woven dream world The torch is passed Here time and space Flow with such grace Bowing to my ancestry means You’re free to rest in peace Return now to the eternal mystery Sisters rise up and ask I am up to the task My daughter holds watch and keeps space Oh rise up and ask All your suffering in the past Be now laid to rest I’ll carry on I’ll carry on your quest Mothers, daughters, sisters for our brothers Mothers, sisters, daughters for our fathers Mothers, daughters, lovers for our lovers Mothers, daughters, sisters For one another Oh, oh rise up and ask We are up to the task Our daughters hold watch and keep space Sisters rise up and ask All your pain in the past Be now laid to rest We’ll carry on We’ll carry on your quest Oh rise up! Oh rise up! Oh rise up! Rise up! Sisters rise up and ask All your pain in the past Be now laid to rest We'll carry on We'll carry on your quest

By My Side 02:59
No one said it would be easy No one said it would be fair With you I can rest easy You’re always there In my darkest hour When the light it overpowers So many blinded But you can see Your vision is strong Helps me carry on Somehow you loved me for me How did I get so lucky? I love you In the morning when I wake up See you peaceful by my side So many storms have come and gone Waters ebb and flow You’re still mine Somehow you loved me for who I am I’m so lucky Free to be myself Free from worry I can breathe I can see So clearly now I love you It’s a simple love song But I had to let you know

about

The songs on this album were written over a 10 year period by Sandi Siegel (except for Flavor, a Tori Amos cover). Sandi Siegel blends her love of guitar and piano with meaningful lyrics that tell stories of archetypal human experiences. While her most loved bands come from the Prog-Rock era, her song writing takes influences from folk, blues and what she has called “melancholy contemporary”. After many years as a student and teacher of Vedic chant and yoga music, she expands her repertoire in an eclectic collection on the upcoming sophomore CD “Dizzying Rain” where poetry and philosophy from studies in Hindu mythology and Native American dream work are woven into to haunting melodies. Love songs and stories from daily life come to life as well.
